(VOVworld)- 400 veterans have joined an association of former soldiers who fought at Quang Tri which made its debut in Hanoi on Saturday. They had fought resolutely in 1972 to defend the ancient citadel and won the battle against American troops to create an upper hand at the negotiation table in Paris . Permanent member of the Party Secretariat Le Hong Anh was speaking at the event:
“This is a significant activity by veterans of Quang Tri ancient citadel to offer mutual support in life and pay tribute to their fellow comrades and martyrs. This will promote revolutionary tradition and compliance to Party guidelines and State policies and laws.”
The veterans were encouraged to boost their communications on Party guidelines and education on mutual support spirit as well as economic development
