(VOVworld) – A meeting to respond to Vietnam’s Sea and Island Week 2015 and the World Oceans Day, June 8th will be held next Monday in the central coastal province of Quang Ngai.
Apart from various activities including cleaning beaches, cycling and planting trees along the beach will also take place on this occasion. The events aim to raise public’s awareness of the role and special importance of seas and oceans to human life and sustainable development as well as the country’s sea and island sovereignty. Le My Lien, Head of Quang Ngai province’s Department of Natural Resources and Environment, said: “The province has cooperated with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to prepare for the meeting. Security and order must be assured”.
