Nguyen Quang Hai is voted Vietnam's Player of the Year in 2018.

Hai was voted one of the Most Valuable Players of ASEAN and lifted the Golden Ball statue for Vietnam’s Player of the Year in 2018.

He won silver with the U23 team at the 2018 championship, gold with the U22 team at the 31st Southeast Asian Games in 2019, and an AFF Cup trophy last year.

The midfielder has received offers from clubs in Japan, the Republic of Korea, and Spain, but has chosen to stay with V-League 1 champions Hanoi FC to sharpen his skills before going abroad.
