The ship, carrying 100 passengers from the US, France, Germany, Canada, Belgium, and Switzerland came to Vietnam via Indonesia and Singapore. The Department of Tourism of Quang Binh, in collaboration with several tourism agencies, held a ceremony to welcome the ship. 

During its 39-day itinerary in Vietnam, the ship will visit Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Quy Nhon, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Binh, Quang Nam, and Quang Ninh. The ship is scheduled to stop in Quang Binh three times in October with day tours to Thien Duong cave, Mooc spring, Phong Nha cave, the Botanical Garden of Phong Nha National Park, and Dong Hoi city.

Le Laperouse will be the first cruise ship to visit Quang Binh a milestone in the development of Quang Binh tourism products.
