Quang Binh surpassed Da Nang, Hue, Sapa, and Nha Trang to rank 4th, following Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hoi An. Dang Dong Ha, Deputy Director of the Quang Binh Provincial Tourism Department, said 2017 is the first year that Quang Binh has welcomed 100,000 foreign visitors, up nearly 120% from last year. Ha said: “We have improved the quality of services, introduced new tourism products, promoted Quang Binh tourism, and held events like the Quang Binh Cave Festival and the Miss Grand International Contest to attract domestic and foreign visitors.”
Quang Binh is dubbed as the world’s kingdom of caves –Son Doong cave, the Tu Lan cave system, Thien Duong cave, Phong Nha cave, and Tien Son cave.
