Chairperson of Bac Ninh People's Committee Nguyen Huong Giang said the Festival "Returning to Quan Ho Land 2023" features 30 unique cultural, sports and tourism activities taking place in Bac Ninh, the land of thousand years of civilization.
"Hosting the Festival, Bac Ninh wishes to turn this event into a large-scale cultural and tourism activity towards building its cultural products, cultural brands and tourism on the foundation of the nation's cultural values. We also hope to promote exchange activities, create opportunities to connect cultural heritage with localities throughout the country and boost solidarity, attachment, cooperation and development,” Giang said.
At the opening ceremony, the audience were treated to the art program "Heritage Region - Essence and Identity" involving 1,000 artists.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha handed over the Decision honoring three National Treasures of Bac Ninh recognized by the Prime Minister. They include Tinh Lu pagoda stone stele dated 1648, Buddhist Bodhisattva statue of Cung Kiem pagoda from 1449, and Dong Son Culture bronze jar from the third to second century BC.
Joining the three-day festival were also localities whose intangible cultural heritages have been recognized by UNESCO, including Phu Tho for Xoan singing, Ha Tinh for Vi Giam singing, Hue city for royal court music, Dak Lak for gongs, Bac Lieu for amateur singing, and Quang Nam for Bai choi art combining music, poetry, acting, painting and literature.
