(VOVworld) – Ji Jae-ryong, the Democratic Republic of Korea (DPRK) ambassador to China, once again reiterates Pyongyang’s determination to resume 6-party nuclear talks and calls on the US to fulfill its obligation related to denuclearization on the Korean peninsula. Ji was speaking at a media conference on Wednesday in the DPRK embassy building in Beijing. He called on the remaining parties: the Republic of Korea, the US, China, Japan and Russia to accelerate the resumption of nuclear talks. He stressed that although Pyongyang’s long-term goal is to denuclearize the Korean peninsula, it will not unilaterally abandon its nuclear weapons once outside nuclear threats remain.
