Pyongyang on Wednesday refused to receive flood relief supplies from Seoul. The decision was taken two days after Pyongyang said it would accept Seoul’s offer of emergency assistance. Seoul had offered flood relief that included 10,000 tons of flour, 3 million packets of noodles, and medical equipment worth 8.9 million USD.

In another development, 8 North Korean fishing boats crossed the demarcation line near Yeonpyeong Island in the Yellow Sea, and then withdrew to North Korean waters after South Korea’s Navy sent patrol boats to warn them off.
