The missiles were launched from multiple sites around the Sunan area in the capital Pyongyang between 9:08 a.m. and 9:43 a.m. local time. The missiles marked the 18th launch by North Korea this year.
According to the JCS, South Korean military is strengthening monitoring activities and in close cooperation with the US, is standing ready .
The launch came a day after the navies of South Korea and the US concluded a three-day joint exercise near the Korean peninsula.
