At Wednesday’s plenary session of the Russian Energy Week forum in Moscow, Putin said Russia supports joint elimination to the further economic growth of nations, particularly developing economies requiring guaranteed and affordable energy supplies.

Putin admitted that relations with US President Donald Trump’s administration are not without problems, but said he hopes that the mutual interests of Russia and the US in fighting terrorism will improve the relationship. He said Russian is handling its relationship with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region with great care since the Kurd’s independence referendum, and expressed concern about escalating tensions between North Korea and other countries over North Korea’s nuclear threat.
