(VOVworld) - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc congratulated the Ministry of Public Security on its 69th anniversary on Monday.
At meetings in Hanoi, Phuc asked the Ministry to work closely with provincial security forces to fight crime, especially organized crime. Phuc also asked the Police Drug Crime Investigation Department to step up cooperation with customs agencies, the Marine Police Force, and the Border Guard to tighten security at border areas and border crossings and crack down on drug related crimes, particularly at hot spots in the northwest and northeast.
At a working session with the Department for Migration Management, Phuc expressed his hope that the agency will strictly enforce an immigration law to protect national security and social order.
