(VOV) – The public health sector will focus this year on epidemic control, eliminating polio, control the HIV/AIDS infection rate in the community to less than 0.3 percent and assure food safety and hygiene this year.

At a press briefing on Tuesday, Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long said the sector will also raise the quality of medical check up at localities and take measures to ease overload at state and local hospitals. The public health sector will invest more to improve the facilities for personnel training and promote technical transfer from the central to local hospitals and assure essential medicine for treatment.
