The direction of typhoon Nari

(VOVworld) – The National Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control on Friday convened an emergency meeting to discuss measures in response to typhoon Nari which is moving near into the East Sea.

The meeting was chaired by Cao Duc Phat, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and Head of the Committee. Typhoon Nari, with gale-force winds gusting up to 149kph near its eye, is forecast to strike central Vietnam in a couple of coming days.

The Committee asked provinces to continuously inform and instruct boats and vessels operating in the possible hit areas the developments of the storm not to go into the dangerous places. At reservoirs, it’s necessary to deploy forces, vehicles, and materials to make timely rescue.
