The North-South 500kV power transmission network, which runs through 42 provinces and cities throughout Vietnam, is classed as a critical project to national security. The system was put into operation in 1994 after two years of construction.

The projects include the Ho Chi Minh Highway, the transnational 500 kV power transmission line, satellites VINASAT-1 and VINASAT-2, and the expanded immunization program.  

“Emulation movements should be promoted among workers to encourage innovation and improve productivity and the quality of products and services. Role models should be praised and followed,” Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue addressed the event’s audience.

The ceremony marked the 89 anniversary of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
