The programme, running until the end of December, will give guidelines for children and their parents in 10 localities nationwide to wear helmets and present them with coupons to buy helmets.

It is part of activities within a campaign to present helmets to children entering first grade in the 2018-2019 school year that started in July.

Statistics showed that only 35-40 percent of children aged from six and above wear helmets, while the ratio among adults is more than 90 percent. Many parents have not made their children wear helmets or have given them unsafe helmets.
