(VOVworld) - A program to donate items, documents and keepsakes related to the Dien Bien Phu military campaign has been launched in Hanoi. The program is jointly organized by the Dien Bien provincial People’s Committee, the People’s Army newspaper and the Vietnam War Veteran Association in anticipation of the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory on May 7, 2014. Organizers said they have received many precious items from donors. Giang Thi Hoa, Vice Chairwoman of Dien Bien People’s Committee, said: “We launch this program not only to receive keepsakes but also study stories behind them”.
