At a working session with Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee on Saturday, Prime Minister Chinh praised the achievements that the Party Committee, administration and people of Phu Tho have gained, saying Phu Tho is a locality with many advantages, especially in terms of security, national defense, connection and development of tourism, services, and international trade.

He called for continued effort to effectively prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic, create the most favorable conditions for socio-economic recovery and development, and especially focus on safe and scientific vaccination.

It’s necessary to accelerate economic restructuring associated with growth model reform to gradually increase the proportion of industry, construction and services, the Prime Minster said, adding that restructuring must be carried out so that industry really becomes the foundation and driving force for development. Agricultural restructuring must be promoted and services be diversified, while making the most of opportunities and resources for investment and development, he said and suggested that Phu Tho be built into a trade center connecting Vietnam, other ASEAN countries, and the Southwest region of China.
