Prime Minister Chinh addressed a ceremony in Hanoi to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Vietcombank and receive the title of Labor Hero of Vietnam.

One of the four largest State-owned commercial banks in the Vietnamese banking system, Vietcombank, over the past 60 years, has responded promptly and effectively to credit capital needs and provided high-quality banking services to production, business and people.

It has contributed to curbing and controlling inflation, stabilizing the macro-economy, ensuring major balances of the economy, and promoting socio-economic development.

The Prime Minister praised Vietcombank's achievements and said it needs to clearly define goals, orientations, and medium and long-term tasks and solutions, in line with the Strategy for Development of the Banking Sector to 2025, orientation to 2030 as well as regional and global trends.
