Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that Vietnam will continue facilitating long-term and effective operations of Thai businesses in the country, while calling for strengthened regional transport connectivity. He also proposed that Vietnam and Thailand enhance cooperation to consolidate ASEAN unity and centrality and promote sustainable development in the Mekong Sub-region.

Prime Minister Anutin agreed on the need for close coordination and expressed the desire to soon raise bilateral trade to 25 billion USD per year. He also called for more Vietnamese investment in Thailand, particularly in industry, agriculture, and technology, and pledged favorable conditions for Vietnamese investors to ensure a more balanced investment relationship.

The two leaders expressed delight at the upgrade of Vietnam–Thailand relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in May 2025 and noted that bilateral cooperation continues to grow strongly, with Thailand remaining Vietnam’s largest trading partner and the second-largest foreign investor in ASEAN.
