The Prime Minister ordered relevant authorities to keep tightening virus prevention measures, especially those restricting people from going outdoors and gathering in large numbers. He asked for adherence to anti-virus measures to avoid a lengthy extension of the social distancing order and strict lockdown.
On Wednesday the National Steering Committee on Covid-19 Prevention and Control have discussed tailored made social distancing measures applicable to different industries to be submitted to the Prime Minister for decision.
During their meeting, the committee members agreed on further social distancing for high-risk localities. Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Le Van Thanh said: “Social distancing should be upheld with loosening to some essential industries to facilitate epidemic prevention while fostering livelihood. We will provide guidance to manufacturing businesses in terms of working shifts and shield partitions.”
