Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung begins official visit to France

(VOVworld) – The official welcome for visiting Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung was held in Invalides Palace in Paris on Tuesday. Prime Minister Dung then laid a wreath at the Ho Chi Minh Monument and visited Ho Chi Minh space in Montreau Park in the city of Montreuil.

Prime Minister Dung then laid a wreath at the Ho Chi Minh Monument and visited Ho Chi Minh space in Montreau Park in the city of Montreuil. He also attended the inauguration of the new headquarter of the Vietnamese embassy in France and met with representatives of the embassy staff and the Vietnamese community in France. He said that this is a good time for the two countries to bring their ties to strategic partnership to develop bilateral cooperation more comprehensively. He said: “I believe that the embassy, Vietnamese representative agencies and the Vietnamese community in France will help to promote the strategic partnership between Vietnam and France for mutual benefit. The Vietnamese party and state always consider the 4 million Vietnamese people living and working abroad an inseparable part of the nation. Vietnam creates the best possible conditions for overseas Vietnamese to integrate into the countries of their residence.”

Prime Minister Dung the same day received French Defense Minister Le Drian and leaders of the French Communist Party and the France-Vietnam Friendship Association. He will visit and deliver an important speech at the French International Relations Institute, one of the biggest of its kind in Europe and one of the 50 biggest research institutes in the world. His speech will touch upon the role and position of Vietnam-France relations, Vietnam’s foreign policy and its stance on emerging regional and global issues.
