The Prime Minister was greeted at the airport by Brunei’s Permanent Vice Secretary of the Energy Department Hj Jamain Hj Julaihi, Vice Secretary of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs Hj Osman Hj Mohd Yussof, Vietnamese ambassador to Brunei Nguyen Truong Giang, and other embassy staff. Prime Minister Dung and other ASEAN leaders opened the summit on Wednesday, focusing on the development orientation of the bloc, especially measures to boost the process of building the ASEAN community by December 2015. Mr. Dung worked with  Japanese, South Korean, Chinese, and US partners at the summit and met with leaders of several countries attending the summit.
