(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung is now in France to attend the 21st Conference of Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 21). On Sunday he met with Vietnamese embassy staff and Vietnamese community representatives in France. He said that there are currently 4.5 million Vietnamese people living abroad in 100 countries and territories and they are an integral part of Vietnam: “The Vietnamese Party, state, and people are always concerned about the overseas Vietnamese and hope that they will remain united and support each other in the host countries. We hope that they will always turn to their homeland and contribute to relations between Vietnam and their countries of residence.”

Prime Minister Dung briefed them on Vietnam’s achievements in recent years and said that this year’s economic growth rate will likely be 6.5%.

Prime Minister Dung also received Secretary General of the France-Vietnam Friendship Association Jean Pierre Archambault. He commiserated with the losses of the French government and people over the recent terrorist attacks in Paris and said he hopes the measures being deployed in France will quickly bring the culprits to justice.
