Mr. Thuong said Vietnam would always remember with deep gratitude Cuba’s strong support and sincere help during its struggle for independence and national sovereignty as well as remember the special sentiment that Cuban leader Fidel Castro had for Vietnam.

The top Cuban legislator expressed his wish that Vietnam would continue accompanying and sharing experiences and lessons learned from its renewal process with the Cuban people. He added that Cuba hopes to learn from Vietnam’s experiences in organizing and managing small-sized enterprises and he also looks forward to stronger investment by Vietnamese firms in Cuba in the coming time.

The two leaders agreed that the organization of a ceremony marking Fidel Castro’s trip 50 years ago showed the appreciation for the heritage and relationship that was begun by President Ho Chi Minh, leader Fidel Castro, and generations of leaders and people of the two countries.
