Addressing the launch ceremony in Kim Phu commune, Tuyen Quang city, on the 6th day of the Lunar New Year, President Thuong underscored Vietnam's consistent policy towards sustainable development, its determination to respond to climate change, build a green economy and circular economy, and to achieve the goal of net zero by 2050.

The President requested all sectors and levels to organize information and educational activities well so that everyone is fully aware of the great benefits and practicality of planting trees, protecting and developing forests. He called for stricter enforcement of legal regulations on forest protection and development.

“Spring is the season of young shoots and green buds, and the season of sowing hope. Planting trees is a beautiful and meaningful action. Each tree planted is a priceless gift sent to future generations. Trees have helped us survive, so we need to protect and plant more trees with love, gratitude and humility towards beautiful nature."

"This action contributes to building a greener, cleaner, and more beautiful and sustainable country and affirms that Vietnam is responsible to the international community in preserving and protecting the environment, joining hands to address global challenges, for a Green Earth,” he said.

The same morning, the President cut the ribbon to inaugurate a road from Tuyen Quang City to Yen Son District Center.
