President Cuong on Monday had a meeting with long-time friends, partners, and progressive Americans, as part of his ongoing trip to the US to attend the High-level General Debate of the 80th Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 80) and engage in bilateral activities.

“Bridge businesses and localities of both sides, boost cooperation in core and breakthrough areas of economics, trade, investment, especially in sci-tech, and innovation. Continue to contribute to addressing war legacy like handling areas contaminated with Agent Orange, unexploded ordnance; supporting victims of toxic chemicals, dioxin and bombs; collecting information to help speed up the searching and collecting the remains of missing Vietnamese soldiers, President Cuong said.
"For its part, Vietnam pledges to make the greatest effort in cooperation with the United States to search for and repatriate the remains of US soldiers missing from the war in Vietnam.”

Vietnam is a dynamically developing country, a safe and attractive investment destination for foreign investors, the President said and hoped that US friends and partners will keep contributing to the development of Vietnam and the Vietnam-US Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
On Monday, President Luong Cuong received Jeffrey David Perlman, CEO of Warburg Pincus Investment Fund and Chairman of the US-ASEAN Business Council.
