(VOVworld)-President Truong Tan Sang has paid a working visit to the southern province of Soc Trang to review socio-economic development, religious unity and responses to climate change impact.

He urged local government to cooperate with relevant agencies to launch the construction of Long Phu 1 thermal power plant for its operation commence in 2016. He said more efforts should be done to create market outlet for agricultural products while reducing poverty and engaging private sector in climate change responses. During his meeting with local religious dignitaries, the President highlighted the State policy to care for national unity. He also visited Ho Chi Minh temple which has been renovated in Cu Lao Dung district.
