(VOVworld)- President Truong Tan Sang laid a wreathe at the South African Embassy in Hanoi on Tuesday to pay tribute to late President of the Republic of South Africa Nelson Mandela, who died on December 5. President Sang expressed condolences from the Vietnamese Party, State and people to President Nelson Mandela. Sang has hailed Mandela as the outstanding leader of South African people and other oppressed nations in the world and the one who spent his life struggling for freedom and equality. Sang said Nelson Mandela will always be a symbol of peace and justice. In the mourning book, the Vietnamese President wrote: “the Vietnamese Party, State and people would like to express their deep condolences for the family of late President Nelson Mandela, the African National Congress Party, African State and people. We believe that South Africa and its people will soon overcome this loss and turn it into national strength to bring South Africa out of all its challenges and gain further success in national development”.
