The desire to build a happy and prosperous country on par with world powers can only be fulfilled when Vietnam has knowledgeable, dignified, and kind citizens who love their families, homeland, and compatriots and work effectively. 

President Thuong emphasized that education is the top national policy. Educating and training children are the shared responsibility of schools, families, and society.

He urged authorities at all levels to build a pure, healthy, and safe educational environment to enable teachers and students to make full use of their creativity and contribute to basic and comprehensive educational reform. 

More than 20 million pupils and students across Vietnam will begin their new school year on Tuesday, September 5.
