(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang has visited and sent congratulatory messages to border soldiers and ethnic people in Lao Cai province as the traditional Tet festival is approaching.

On Tuesday, President Sang arrived in Ban Qua hamlets in Bat Xat district, one of five border villages home to mainly Giay and Dao groups and wished the local Party committee, administration, and people a cozy Tet with new successes in socio-economic development and national security protection and defense.

Earlier during a visit to Lao Cai International Border Gate and Bat Xat Border Post, President Sang asked the soldiers there to increase coordination with relevant agencies to maintain border security at Lao Cai International Border Gate and build a borderline of peace and friendship.

While making a Tet visit to Lao Cai’s People’s Procuracy and People’s Court, Mr Sang called on the two agencies to improve the quality of judgments to ensure transparency of the legal system.
