(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang received Egyptian and Belgian theorists Samir Amin and Francois Houtart who are attending an international workshop on the self-reliance of southern countries in the globalized world in Hanoi. The President discussed with them development cooperation trends in the context of globalization. He said that in the face of world complications, self-reliance for development was an important trend and national interests should be placed at the top. He agreed that theoretical issues should be appropriate to each country and region and that there should be more development research in the coming years.
