At a meeting in Hanoi on Thursday with former President of the South Korea-Vietnam Friendship Association and Chairman of Panko Group Choi Young-joo, President Phuc asked the group and other South Korea businesses to expand investment in Vietnam in high tech, green, clean, modern, and environmental friendly technology and continue to generate more jobs, pay attention to vocational training, and ensure a safe working environment for Vietnamese workers.

President Phuc expressed his hope that Mr. Choi Young-joo will help introduce Vietnam’s favorable investment environment to encourage Korean businesses to come to Vietnam.

He urged the two countries to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields including the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Vietnam-South Korea diplomatic ties this year.

Mr. Choi Young-joo said Panko wanted to expand investment in Vietnam in other areas in addition to garment and textile and Korean businesses consider Vietnam an attractive destination. He hopes the Vietnamese government will create more favorable conditions for Korean businesses.
