President Luong Cuong, his spouse, and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation laid a wreath at President Ho Chi Minh Statue at the Vietnamese Embassy in Angola. |
The statue, a gift from General Secretary To Lam during his tenure as Minister of Public Security, was inaugurated in July 2023. It has since become a place of remembrance for Vietnamese expatriates in Angola and visiting delegations from Vietnam.
The same day, President Luong Cuong and his spouse laid flowers at the Memorial Plaque on Ho Chi Minh Avenue in Luanda. This avenue was named by Antonio Agostinho Neto, the first President of independent Angola, as a tribute to the Vietnamese people and President Ho Chi Minh. Over the years, the avenue has become a symbol of the solidarity, friendship, and mutual support between the peoples of Angola and Vietnam.
Also on Thursday President Lương Cường laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers in the capital city of Luanda.
