President Ho Chi Minh portrait handed over to NA Chairman

(VOVWORLD) -National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue on Friday received a portrait of President Ho Chi Minh from former National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

The picture was drawn by Ngan in pencil in November 1975 with her heartfelt respect for the beloved leader of Vietnam. The former National Assembly Chairwoman presented the original and silkscreen print of the drawing to the National Assembly’s archive.

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue emphasized how much the portrait means:This meaningful gift that will be hung in the traditional hall to preserve and promote the very important value. It not only shows the affection of former National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan for President Ho Chi Minh, but also shows her very deep affection for the National Assembly of Vietnam. We would like to thank Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan for her precious feeling and task the National Assembly Office to keep the painting.”

National Assembly Chairman Hue unveiled a plan to digitize the archive for better access to the public, including international visitors.
