(VOVworld) – The Saigon Beer Alcohol Beverage Corporation (SABECO) has provided 12 billion VND to fishermen from Quang Nam and Quang Ngai provinces. The money will be invested in new fishing vessels. SABECO said it wants to help fishermen to continue their work, and stabilize their lives, contributing to protecting Vietnam’s territorial waters and islands. Speaking at the ceremony on Saturday in Hanoi, President Truong Tan Sang praised SABECO’s assistance to Quang Nam and Quang Ngai provinces, urging local leaders to pay more attention to fishermen, who risk their lives to earn a living. Sang expressed his hope that other businesses will provide more assistance to fishermen.
