Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Ho Minh Tuan called tourism the highlight of economic cooperation between Vietnam and the Czech Republic as the EU-Vietnam free trade agreement will officialy take effect on August 1.

Tuan said, "this tourism promotion forum is of great significance given the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in the past few months. Countries are gradually reopening by promoting tourism activities and resuming international flights as the outbreak wanes. Tourism is one of three major pillars of Vietnam-Czech cooperation this year. Both countries are seeking to revive their economies."

Frantisek Reismuller, Director of Foreign Offices at the Czech Tourism Authority, hailed Vietnam as an attractive destination, adding that the two countries boast great potential for tourism development.
