(VOVworld) – Portugal had a stunning win 1-0 against France in the Euro 2016 final early Monday (Vietnam time) and became the tournament’s champion for the first time.

France with advantage of being the hosts conducted attacks from the beginning of the match. Portugal overcame the early loss of captain Cristiano Ronaldo thanks to substitute Eder's superb extra-time strike. On the 109 minutes, Eder fired a far drive past keeper Hugo Lloris. France, the firm favourites, were unable to capitalise on Ronaldo's absence.

Before the final match, there was a short and colorful closing ceremony of the Euro, sending a meaningful good bye from host France to football lovers.
