(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese Ambassador to Portugal Dinh Toan Thang presented a letter credentials of President Nguyen Xuan Phuc to Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa in Lisbon on Wednesday.

The Ambassador promised to contribute to strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two countries. He conveyed President Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s greetings and invitation to the Portuguese President to visit Vietnam.

The Portuguese President praised the development of bilateral ties and urged the two countries to work closely to tap their potential and to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic ties. President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa asked Ambassador Thang to fulfill his tasks and contribute to enhancing bilateral ties.
