The results are partly attributed to the effective implementation of ethnic minority programs and policies, as told to the national conference on Wednesday to review ethnic work last year and the initial results of the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the 2021-2030 period.

Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs, Hau A Lenh, told the conference that agricultural development is the first task in economic development for ethnic and mountainous areas.

“One of the most important tasks is to ensure that all ethnic households have land for farming. Second is to redesign production models via team production, cooperatives, and sustainable production models to connect with the market," said Mr. Lenh.
