Politburo issues resolution, aiming to make Hanoi a global city with high, sustainable level of development

(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary To Lam has just signed and issued the Politburo's Resolution on "Building and Developing Hanoi in the New Era," which confirms that Hanoi is the national political and administrative center and plays a leading role in shaping new development models and mindsets.

The Resolution sets out several goals for 2035 or before – to become a green, smart,  and modern city;  a convergence of cultural excellence, deeply integrated into the international community, with strong competitiveness, political and social stability; a peaceful city of happy people; and a safe, friendly, attractive destination.

By 2045, Hanoi will become an important innovation center in the Asia-Pacific region; a hub for knowledge and technology with modern infrastructure and urban governance, and a high quality of life for its citizens; and a safe, civilized, livable, happy society.

Looking towards the 100th anniversary of the liberation of Hanoi in 2054 and beyond to 2065, Hanoi will be a global city with a high and sustainable level of development.
