(VOVoworld) - Press officials on Friday continued their conference on this year’s tasks in Quang Ninh province. Party Poliburo member Le Hong Anh has stressed Vietnamese media’s central tasks to bridge the party and the people: “Media nationwide should effectively disseminate information on the implementation of the resolution of the 4th plenum of the Party Central Committee on party building and movements to follow Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples. The media should inform the public of government management, raise people’s awareness on natural disaster and climate change prevention, and territorial issues for national defence and construction.
Vietnam now has nearly 790 newspapers, 67 radio-TV stations, more than 60 on-line newspapers and 1,000 general news websites. Nearly 17,000 journalists are given work cards.
