In his address, the PM praised the University’s development over the past 28 years. He said Vietnam is restructuring the national economy and shifting the growth model towards rapid and sustainable development.
To do this it is focusing on the digital economy, green economy, circular economy, e‑commerce, and emerging industries, said the PM, adding that Vietnam aims to train a workforce of 50,000 to 100,000 high‑quality laborers for the semiconductor chip manufacturing industry from 2025 to 2030.
He said higher education institutions, including the Vietnam National University- Ho Chi Minh City, must further promote its role in training and finding talent and promoting sustainable economic development.
The Prime Minister hopes that the University will rank among the top research university systems in Asia, and will become a place to gather talent and spread Vietnamese knowledge and culture.
