PM urges for positive mindset shift in law building

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has asked for a fundamental shift in the mindset for  law-making, changing from passive implementation to a proactive and flexible approach aimed at fostering development and better serve the people and businesses.

While chairing the Government’s law-building session for May on Thursday, the Prime Minister asked ministers and heads of agencies to continue to prioritize legislative reform, directly lead law-drafting efforts, and coordinate with the National Assembly to raise the quality of legal documents. He urged a determined effort to remove institutional bottlenecks in 2025 and work closely with National Assembly agencies to enhance the quality of legal documents.

Prime Minister Chinh emphasized the need for stronger decentralization, delegation of power and effective resource allocation, coupled with mechanisms for oversight, and a firm reduction in unnecessary administrative procedures whilst building laws.
