(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung chaired the government’s January meeting on Friday. Cabinet members discussed socio-economic growth in January and state budget estimates for 2016.

Prime Minister Dung asked ministries and sectors to closely follow domestic and world economic developments in order to map out timely measures to achieve the targets set for this year. He stressed the need to ensure macro-economic stability, control inflation and prices, maintain the import surplus, and ensure a balance between revenues and spending. Mr. Dung called for measures to ensure adequate goods supply, food safety and hygiene, and traffic safety during the Tet holiday, adding that policy beneficiaries and people in remote areas should be given support to enjoy a happy Tet.
