Concluding the meeting, Prime Minister Chinh said the socio-economic performance remained positive, each month is better than the previous month, and the first five months are better than the same period in 2024 in most areas.
The Prime Minister said the lesson learned is to resolutely not retreat in the face of difficulties; adhere to the set goals; grasp the situation, respond proactively, promptly, flexibly, and effectively with policies; step up decentralization and delegation of authority along with resource allocation; and strengthen inspection and supervision.
"We must remove obstacles. No matter how difficult, we must do it. Turn these bottlenecks into competitive advantages. We must definitely remove them. Whatever is still stuck, we must work with the National Assembly to clear them for the people, for the nation."
The Prime Minister stressed the need to continue drastic implementation of the Politburo’s four major resolutions, deploy solutions to respond to the US's reciprocal tariff policy, improve institutions, streamline, and reorganize the apparatus, and boost administrative reform and digital transformation.
Efforts should be made to renew traditional growth drivers, promote new growth drivers, control inflation, firmly consolidate national defense and security, maintain social order and safety, PM Chinh said and urged for strengthened foreign affairs and international integration, including hosting the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Meeting 2027 in Phu Quoc city, Kien Giang province.
