The 110km Can Tho-Ca Mau expressway passes through Can Tho, Hau Giang, Bac Lieu, Kien Giang, and Ca Mau province with a total investment of more than 1 billion USD.

Prime Minister Chinh requested the Ministry of Transport and the Project Management Board to speed up investment preparation, work out the pre-feasibility project, select the design consultants, appraise, approve and select the contractors, while ensuring the site clearance and capital arrangement.

Visiting the wind power project and working with renewable energy investors, the Prime Minister said Vietnam, including Bac Lieu province, has great potential for renewable energy, specifically wind and solar power. He stressed on technology transfer and human resource training, especially research and development of the renewable energy industry.

Investors and localities need to study and organize the circular economy development model, develop wind power, and combine hydrogen production, agriculture and aquaculture, he said.
