PM suggests Ho Chi Minh City Economic Forum be upgraded to WEF Autumn Forum

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam values the role of the World Economic Forum (WEF), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said and proposed that the WEF boost the connectivity between Vietnam and global firms, help attract high-quality investment, and upgrade the Ho Chi Minh City Economic Forum to the annual WEF Autumn Forum.

Prime Minister Chinh had meetings with Peter Brabeck-Letmathe, Interim President of the World Economic Forum, and Borge Brende, President of the WEF, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, on Wednesday, in Tianjin, China.

The Prime Minister highly appreciated the theme "Entrepreneurship for a New Era" of the WEF Forum in Tianjin this year, many of which he said match Vietnam's current major priorities and policies.

Brabeck-Letmathe and Brende said Vietnam is an attraction of the WEF and the WEF business community is very interested in Vietnam and pledged to continuing to connect cooperation between Vietnam and WEF members and partners.
