The PM urged participants to analyze achievements and shortcomings and propose solutions to key issues, especially workforce training, infrastructure development, investment attraction, and building a strong semiconductor ecosystem.
He encouraged the development of cooperation models between the government, academia, and businesses to help Vietnam fast-track its progress and become competitive globally in semiconductors.
Vietnam’s semiconductor industry has made remarkable strides in developing strategic technologies such as chip design, testing, and packaging. The country now has 50 chip design companies, employing 7,000 engineers. There are 15 companies involved in chip packaging and testing, as well as semiconductor equipment and material production, employing 6,000 engineers and over 10,000 technicians.
