Opening a hybrid conference reviewing the 2025 performance and outlining tasks for 2026 for central and local administrations, the PM highlighted Vietnam’s key achievements across all fields.
“Last year, Vietnam’s economic growth reached 8.02%, ranking among the top performers in the region and worldwide. It maintained macroeconomic stability, controlled inflation, kept budget deficits and public debt within set limits, ensured social welfare, strengthened defense and security, and promoted international integration—thereby improving Vietnam’s standing on the global stage,” said Mr. Chinh.

Echoing the Prime Minister’s views and the key task groups and solutions for socio-economic development this year and beyond, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Vu Dai Thang said that Hanoi will continue to focus on addressing five major ‘bottlenecks’, including traffic congestion, environmental pollution, and food safety and hygiene issues.
“At the same time, we will strongly promote science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation, ensuring they truly become growth drivers for Hanoi,” Mr. Thang noted.
Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Van Duoc said, “With a long-standing tradition of dynamism, creativity, and the courage to think, act, and take responsibility, Ho Chi Minh City commits to more decisive and effective action, making a strong contribution to Vietnam’s goal of rapid and sustainable growth.”
