PM requires breakthrough in mindset of private economic development

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said on Monday that the recent plenum of the Party Central Committee affirmed "the private economy is the most important driving force of the national economy". So, he requested a breakthrough in thinking about the way of doing and leadership to deliver this policy.

Chairing the 3rd meeting of the Steering Committee for the private economic development project, Prime Minister Chinh said "In my opinion, we must make a breakthrough. Only with a breakthrough can we contribute to double-digit growth and form a "strategic quartet". We must overcome our own limits and normal mindset to make a giant leap forward."

The Prime Minister requested ministries, sectors and localities to continue focusing on institutional reform, cutting administrative procedures and compliance costs to create conditions for the private economy to develop.

He stressed the need to promote science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, green transformation, and sustainable business in the private economy, while tightening the connection between private enterprises, private enterprises with state-owned enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises (FDI).
